NFPA 13 (2025)

The 2025 edition of NFPA 13 has been updated to include new technologies, more

efficient means and methods, and modified requirements based on the latest

research available. This presentation will review the significant changes that were

made during the standard revision cycle. Significant revisions that were made by the

installation, discharge, and hanging and bracing committees of the NFPA 13 will be

discussed, as well as the impact of those revisions on sprinkler system design.


NFPA 14 (2024)   2 Hours

NFPA 14, Standard for the Installation of Standpipes and Hose Systems has been

reorganized and rewritten. For the 2024 edition, a substantial effort was made to

focus on the needs of the AHJ when it comes to specific design requirements in the

standard. This presentation will discuss the new structure of NFPA 14, additional

installation requirements for scissor stairs and other special arrangements, the

evaluation of pumping capabilities of the fire department, and the effect on the

design and pressure limitation on a standpipe system.


NFPA 20 (2025)

NFPA 20, Standard for the Installation of Stationary Pumps for Fire Protection is

concluding its revision cycle and the language that will be included in the 2025

edition is almost set. This webinar will review the important first and second draft

revisions and provide an update on any topics that may be up for debate at the

NFPA Technical meeting in 2024.


NFPA 25 (2023)   1 Hour

This presentation will discuss the revisions that were made to the 2023 edition of

NFPA 25 Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire

Protection Systems. After a brief overview of the NFPA standard development

process, the presentation will review the important changes made to the document

during the first and second draft, including insights into the technical committee’s

discussions during the meeting and intent.
